My Power
From a young age, I have always wanted to be self-sufficient, and I wanted to be good at the things I set my mind to. My whole life is random or, what I like to call, opportunities. I get involved. In projects, in society and in people. I have always done that, and it is impossible for me not to. That is why I have also been around a lot – from IT developer and business developer to self-employed and startup/partner manager. Today, I am grateful to be allowed to combine everything I have been involved in over the years; namely helping startups/entrepreneurs/scaleups and partners to the next step. Early in life, I found out that I could create relationships and without it being completely planned, it has given me a strong faith and approach to life. When I was at my lowest and reached out into the network, I felt what it really meant to meet the world with a positive mind, helpfulness, gratitude and most of all, decency. It has given me many opportunities. I have set boundaries in both my private and professional life when it sapped my energy more than I could make up for. Many people ask how I find time and don't get stressed by the many things at work and at the same time be a single mother of 3 children, see friends and family, but the secret is actually easy enough – what I say yes to, I am 100% present in, and if it happens that I say yes to too many things, then I have to say no or move to another time. If there is one thing I have learned as someone who gets wholeheartedly involved, it is that it is beautiful to want to manage yourself – but it is even more beautiful what many who want to manage themselves can manage together.
