My Power
I can call myself an engineer and neuroscientist, a business owner and, not least, a mother, wife and survivor. All are successes in my life. Yet I can connect those very same things with mistakes and failures of epic proportions. We learn, develop our skills and grow through both sides. We are all only human.
In my world, Power means being brave, daring, standing by what matters and standing up against things, giving it your all, being tough and vulnerable at the same time or at different moments, putting one foot in front of the other, falling and getting up again on the journey and amid the chaos that life so often is. Courage means standing by who you are. We are all different and each have our own form of Power, but I firmly believe everyone has something to contribute under the right conditions. We can all learn more and stay curious about the world, each other and ourselves. The broadest shoulders carry more, but together we can do the most.
