My Power
To live and learn….
As a child/young adult, I wanted to be an actor and also a musician, but my well-meaning parents advised me to choose something more secure and stable - you couldn't make a living from that kind of thing. I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school, but with security in mind, coincidences sent me in the direction of the financial world and here I have worked my entire professional life, with varying success and job satisfaction. I got to know myself again midway through life (or a little beyond). A number of events in my life made it necessary to pause and listen to myself, let go of my inner pleaser and become free - that means daily training for the rest of my life, but it has given me more peace, just to be me. Peace gives more room for care, acceptance and love - for myself - and for others of course. I am now allowed to live out my love for creativity through my job at EIFO, by building bridges and connecting two very different worlds together - the financial and the creative - and I love it. I am driven by making a difference - bringing people and skills together in an unconventional way - people who would not otherwise have found each other. Here I can also make use of creativity. I am very keen to strengthen diversity in the entrepreneurial environment in general - mixing gender, orientation, age, ethnicity, background and interests. Where we recognize the value of diversity, we can all grow as people.
